Beef Jerkey & Meat Sticks for Sale The boys & girls golf teams are selling beef jerky & meat sticks. They are $1 each. Several flavors are available. See a team member to buy yours!


We have the following scholarship applications in the guidance office:

1. Hy-Vee Foundation - this is for seniors who work at Hy-Vee or whose parents are employees of Hy-Vee. Deadline is Feb. 10, 2013.

2. Grand Lodge of Iowa - this is based on academics, leadership skills, and financial need. The deadline to apply is Feb. 1st.

3. MCEC Technical Scholarships - for students who plan to enroll in a mechanical or trade course of study at an Iowa Comm. College. The deadline is March 1st.

4. JCI Senate Foundation - for all seniors. It is due on Dec. 10th.

College Rep

A representative from La'James International College will be here on Monday, October 8th, at 2:15 p.m.

FCA Fifth Quarter FCA Fifth Quarter will meet after the game Fiday night at Leah Klejch's. Please bring a lawn Chair. There will be a campfire.


We have information about the GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship. This program awards students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship. Stop by the guidance office if you are interested. Deadline is Jan. 10th.

High School students

A representative from the Navy will be here on Monday, October 8th, during lunch periods to visit with students.

College Rep

A representative from Simpson College will be here on Wed., October 10th, at 2:30 p.m.

Cutting in line at lunch.... This message if from Mrs. Wallace; Anyone found cutting in the line for either breakfast or lunch will be last in line for ONE MONTH. DO NOT CUT IN LINE!


We have information in the guidance office about the Iowa Scholarship for the Arts for students who have shown outstanding ability in music, dance, literature, theatre, traditional arts, or visual arts. You must be planning to attend an Iowa college or university. The deadline to apply is Feb. 1st.

Dance Tonight There will be a sophomore parents sponsored dance after the football game tonight. It will be in the commons. There will be great music. Cost is 3 dollars for singles and 5 dollars for couples.
