Negative Lunch Balances

The school district will make reasonable efforts to notify families when meal account balances are low. Additionally, the school district will make reasonable efforts to collect unpaid meal charges classified as delinquent debt. The school district will coordinate communication with families to resolve the matter of unpaid charges. Families will be notified of an outstanding negative balance once the negative balance reaches $25.00. Families will be notified by an email automatically sent to parents from the totalk12access lunch program. Negative balances of more than $25, not paid by the end of the school year will be turned over to the superintendent or superintendent’s designee for collection. Options for collection may include: collection agencies, small claims court, or any other legal method permitted by law.

Seeking applicants for a full time custodian

The Mount Ayr Community School District is seeking applicants for a full time
custodian.
Applications may be picked up at the Superintendent’s Office or can
be found by clicking the title above. Deadline for applications: April 12, 2019.

Free and Reduced Applications

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Children need healthy meals to learn. Mount Ayr School District offers healthy meals every school day. Breakfast cost $1.50 Elem, $1.60 HS; lunch costs $2.25 Elem, $2.30 HS. Your children may qualify for free meals/milk or for reduced price meals. Reduced price is $.30 for breakfast and $.40 for lunch.
If your child/children already receive free or reduced meals, no further action is required at this time to continue benefits.

Applications can be submitted at any time and may be found year round by contacting Tawnya Jones, FSD at 641-464-0524, or go to the school website to download application. https://www.mtayrschools.org/
