really I'm using I'm also sending a lot of my assignments out on email the kids are emailing me their assignments were using a new software in the in the lab on drafting kindergarten program that are houses country music on the Project Lead the Way live with inventor and squeeze technology in Washington while the students have their grits on the marching band field and that's how they find their place how do you how are you using text in the classroom was there a site each three different classes I have a geometry class I have a pre calculus class and have a statistics class in Geometry that's the class weed we've used Edmodo song to post assignments reviews Edmodo somewhere like supposed to challenge problems or papers and they reply to me via email or another either one that's where we use technology in my pre calculus class will use graphing we use online graphing calculators quite a bit with located couple different ones online that they used once in a blue moon with use Khan Academy just to Khan Academy as a site where they present lessons on and my statistics class that use the graphing calculators a lot online calculator we used in the last chapter call stattrak witch calculator use for determining different probability distributions particular when we do proofs how to do the proof and sometimes they haven't got them all written down and so before that he classic issues their self on their computer and take a picture off the board of the ends so that they have them and I didn't have to write them down that's pretty handy when I was in school we didn't we weren't allowed to have computers you weren't allowed to use things or get online or do anything so the fact that you guys can use technology so that I'm taking advantage of for example of the students now are working on observations inferences and addictions and they're doing it all new computer as opposed to doing it on. And then I have a page format and it has her lovely manga Hai Ling here spell love to play and some other things we like or will learn to like and then I have some City sights and I have Pages immediately available to my 7th grade classes about the colonies early colonies of America and I'm using technology in the mushroom for the talented and gifted program I would say advanced placement is huge with Bayland blank because she does are allowed to take AP economics AP Chemistry I also have a student that's with Iowa on I'm learning and is taking chemistry because she could fit into our schedule in the classroom I'm hooking up with teachers from Virginia Kansas and Nebraska and Iowa who are helping me vet lessons they're helping me improve my lesson design and I help them improve their lesson design and we can use our Pasco probes by plugging in the the probe wear to this online platform which to me is a suit forced or understand the importance of data and analyzing data and to see what's happening but I also look at it from a creativity point of view there are some kids that are so musically creative or aesthetically very good at being able to piece things together in the area of the written word or just in being able to public speak and videotape and then critique themselves in their way of learning it's to me opened up a huge door there are problems with it but it's opened up that huge door that has helped us at Mount Ayr high school right now with our technology in the classroom quite a few of the kids at about 75% of the kids used to textbook online we've taken solve our tests and quizzes online and that makes it a little bit easier for me in that aspect cuz it scores it but I still got to go back and figure out what areas that the kids are making mistakes on what areas we need to improve on so it it helps a little bit but yet it creates a little extra work sometimes too graphing calculators and some of our kids are using Desmos calculator which is on the computer and we also use grapher and that's another application that came with the Apple computers that were used to graph system of equations graphing linear equations using four functions with parabolas so it just gives a picture for the kids to look at compare and to analyze where minimums are where the maximum Czar wear lines intersect so is that a good value is that a positive outcome and it gives them a chance to compare the that's how we're using technology in their research papers and argumentative essays right now and we we do programs won't we do units on Edmodo so they can work on the assignment right now that's about all I have going on right now so little programs called soccer teams I used GoAnimate I use master key Microsoft Office Word Excel PowerPoint applications and things that we use we also have an Apple TV so I'm able to take my iPad which is probably buried on my desk and I can model things on the TV from my iPad the fair and then they're able to see things that's really cool very cool and interest on there and they can just pay and everything under one umbrella so for doing Halloween meals thank you for your hygiene tips they can do cleaning tips on full things we've got a lot of emotion things we work on sight words schedules last night's some of the ways that I use technology in my classroom is to commute with the students to the use of Google Calendar for they can see what their assignments are everyday in the class is that they go to I've also use the iPad where the students have used Dragon Dictation so they can about a paper they want to write and then it prints Out reviews the computers to create career projects where they have used keynote to show their use technology in the classroom I'm up older teacher so I didn't learn to use technology in college and I've started had to pick it up along the way I tried a lot of types of technology I like to use my YouTube to get good videos of different science phenomena and experiments and things like that it's a lot safer than doing it in the classroom I have my kids make videos they'll get a video tape video clip and take off the sound and then give their own explanation of different kinds of motion an event I've also had him use a Google map to locate samples of that they've taken from different parts of the county and then they look and see if there's any contaminants in a certain area of the county use a lot as a resource for kids to find information about different like we only talked about the earth science aspect of physical science if they need to find volcanoes are sending to find Hurricane Alley or if they need to look for different phenomena that occur throughout the world or in space they can use the computer as a resource for that particular thing to use different ideas that are given from educational sites for lesson plans and and experiments to try I use a lot as a resource as well so for now that's about all I need math class I have found online programs where kids can work individually on skills that they need to improve on for my license class we use on Google Docs I have a mock checking account set up in my classroom and kids get on to I will drive and it looks kind of like what an online bank statement would look like so they get out and check that periodically throughout the the week in the month how else I use Edmodo in my gen Ed reading class we do a lot of class discussion on there we do current events and post those on to Edmodo to where everybody can respond to put each other's article computer for a lot of research in American history different topics and we're dealing with in our chapter and I'll write a summary of the information that they find we also use the computers to put our assignments on and so they can check what the assignment is and turn their assignment in thread Moto makes it really easy to put comments on it and create it and return it to the students that way rather than having to shop a lot of papers the way we use technology in my class show me as we have a program called Odyssey where and odyssey where he is a student's curriculum and within that Cricket on my consent what they need to do according to their needs I also use you four current events and four other videos that I use that would help compliment but we're talking back and classes such as world history American history and things like that we all use technology to do research on the employment possibilities for an English class that we need to talk about employment and consign Knology using Edmodo we got a couple of classes and have online book reviews Google Drive a few times Well technology students if we have a question about something they can Google it I got the answer I do sit a lot in Agronomy class we've looked at pesticides and herbicides I've used it in egg business we made commercial sign up in the structures so it's really busy a great a great tool for the students to use this year so far I'm using Edmodo for all my classes, put all my assignments on Edmodo what we're doing part one we're using it for a sketchbooks and so they turn all their sketchbooks into Edmodo wants to each week so this week was Thanksgiving said to draw what they're going for so you got a lot other than technology that I use of students do a how to draw a show how to draw videos I also had students download a gimp which is a free software drawing program and they did pictures fast when they had to draw using the software they so used to photograph first and then the driving on top of it movies with technology 8th grade I also had the music up a little bit and they had to can learn how to cut paste and Credit Clause using the software for the Note 2 songs in a funny situation using their head and a GoFundMe self-torture really do that Facebook for starters I do my online classes now and I don't have to like wait for student study hall to have to be able to get on the internet and I'm able to access denture out today also spend a lot of time like not on task. I guess that makes sense like I do a lot of I don't know I'm just browsing the internet sites stuff like that but I feel like I'm able get a good mix of everything so hard I'm keeping up and everything but I definitely open this up for many creative me and so does our school is always kind of History being close-minded towards creative an author things in with this new use of the internet in our everyday life were able to really access those when they're ready I don't know we got the internet all the time with me there a lot because I always do all my online classes and a class I don't have to worry about going to find you my laptop or typing up my papers it's just a lot more convenient for me to work on my classes and I've had more opportunities to work on them all the time for us down our education is done for the day maybe weeks touch me once my humps are learning by lesbians okay tional games inside my bubble trouble consistent around books by being able to use like the internet stuff that's good Logan textbook it is helping marks and learn a lot more and you do research and different assignments like project because the internet doesn't even work is your control difference you better work on it's easier to type in get more things to type with and ginger water classes with Shame Shame the laptops because he's been less learning with books and we have more resources on the internet like programs and different learning things that sounds like the internet is very slow want some come to you there's any especially when you have ADHD I scan on Bubble struggle it's pretty addictive like the good part like the pros about it like you don't care your books around it's like you have the computer access we can get on the bus you have internet when you have home if you don't have a light fly if you do the one-hour program has has its ups and downs but it's pretty all pretty good worry about losing books anymore I need to do research OnRoto lot New Jersey. PowerSchool appear more programs I'm glad we have computers up here not we don't have to find us a really didn't want the computers cuz I thought they'd be just a distraction and that we would like everyone would just use them for like social networking stuff like that this year a lot better access to the internet and getting what I need sooner so I had to wait for lab time be open and I don't have to wait for a computer to be open on the car and my projects and stuff getting deleted off of a community laptop it's just really nice to have everything on my own and I can have it organized how I want it and it's not messy and it's just it's helped me a lot I can keep things better organized because it's help me I had to do a lot of learning-by-doing and it's taught you a lot so I just figure things out on your own and I'd rather be doing this now I'm in high school then when I get thrown out in the real world and no one helps me and you can do your homework at home and it just helps you get things done but she said misses changed a lot because he look everything up on the teacher gives you a worksheet or you don't know something and the teacher does a lot last time talking and there's you don't have to it's good when you have the internet but when the internet's working not working it's not very good so this is something you found on Pinterest right now and did we cook that pineapple glazed ham balls how would you how would you find your recipe flasher it already cookbook right we think about that yeah the iPad a lot cooler.
